Mission Statement

The Career Development Center offers a comprehensive array of programs and services which support the mission and advancement of Kutztown University and the success of its graduates. Programs and services support and facilitate career development (self-assessment, exploration & placement) for all students and empower members of the Kutztown University community to choose and attain personally rewarding careers. Our services are sensitive to the needs of students with disabilities as well as to students from diverse backgrounds and/or sexual orientations. Career services are presented in a variety of formats and in an environment that is supportive and understanding of each student's unique needs. The Career Development Center is committed to the success of all students.

The goals of the career development process are to:
1. Think in terms of functional responsibilities rather than merely linking major to job
2. Acquire and develop the skills necessary to become informed career decision makers
3. Develop the potential of becoming responsible managers of their own careers
