Academic Jeopardy

Notification:
  • Student receives a letter of notification indicating the student is not meeting university standards.
Warning:
  • Student is below a 2.0 GPA for a second semester
  • Student is required to meet with advisor
  • Student may lose eligibility to receive financial aid
  • Student may not register for more than 15 credits for the following semester
Probation:
  • Student who has already received Academic Warning status earns a GPA  below 2.0
  • Student is not considered in good academic standing
  • Student is prohibited from participating in intercollegiate activities or student organization leadership positions
  • Student is required to see advisor and use university support services
  • Student may lose eligibility to receive  financial aid
  • Student may not register for more than 15 credits for the following semester
Dismissal:
  • Student dismissed after one semester on Academic Probation
  • Following dismissal, student may petition the Undergraduate Exceptions Committee for re-admission. For more information, please consult the Registrar's Office.
